Rob is the President of Smallwood and is a seasoned Architect and executive with significant design, project management and operational experience. He has demonstrated expertise in organizational leadership, design and project delivery and leads initiatives that enable clients and project teams to develop and implement the client’s strategic vision. Rob’s experience encompasses a variety of project types, including hospitality, mixed use, office, multifamily, and performance facilities for 30 years.

Prior to Smallwood, Rob was President and CEO of Portman Architects, a well-known and respected international design firm, where he led architectural business operations in the United States and China. Rob is sensitive to design and operations working closely together and is committed to world-class design, innovation, quality, client service and creating a sense of place in which people succeed.

Rob also shares his experience by dedicating his time to mentoring staff and giving back to his community as a member of the Planning Commission of Peachtree City and Rotary Club of Atlanta.
