Lake Oconee Estates is a highly amenitized active adult community planned along the shores of Lake Oconee. Spanning 265 acres, the master planned development is designed to foster connection, recreation, and lakeside living through a collection of distinct residential neighborhoods anchored by a 12,000 SF clubhouse and expansive community amenities.
Conceived as a landmark destination on the lake, the clubhouse draws inspiration from the character of a grand “Lakehouse Lodge,” featuring exposed timber framing, shingle-style cladding, local stone, and expansive interior volumes oriented toward panoramic waterfront views. Interior spaces are designed to support an active and social lifestyle, with a three-meal restaurant, bar, fitness center, salon, game room, and a variety of sophisticated gathering environments inspired by the colors and textures of the surrounding landscape.
Outdoor amenities further extend the community experience with a resort-style pool deck, pickleball courts, playground, private beach, and amphitheater designed for recreation and social engagement. The project team provided master planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design services to create a cohesive lakeside community experience rooted in the natural character of the site.
