Olympus Harbour Island Apartments is a 21-story apartment tower overlooking the Ybor Channel with scenic views of Hillsborough Bay and McCay Bay. The 340 residences range in size from 650 SF studio apartments to 1,600 SF three-bedroom units.
The French Mediterranean architectural theme is carried throughout the building design, including the richly detailed lobby, lush landscaping, and amenity areas. The material palette incorporates cast stone, travertine, and stucco. Architectural details include arched cast stone windows at the building’s base and ornamental cornices on the lower and upper floors, as well as at the building’s corners. The north and south ends of the tower are topped by two-story mansard roof sections covered in slate-gray metal panels, accented with copper-patina colored metal details such as dormers, ridge caps, gutters, and flashing.
Demonstrating Smallwood’s commitment to sustainability, the building was designed to be Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) certified.
The amenities include a fitness center, yoga room, private dining facility with adjoining kitchen, club lounge with game room, media lounge, and a 16-guest movie theater. Exterior amenities are arranged within a formal walled garden and include a classically shaped pool with an attached spa, a sunken fire pit, an outdoor bar, and outdoor dining areas with gas grills.
Smallwood also provided Experiential Graphic Design services for this project.
