The Shaoxing Shimao New City project consists of 11 plots, covering a total area of 49.76 hectares, with a planned total construction area of 1,130,000 square meters and a plot ratio of 2.30. This mixed-use development is located in the historic city of Shaoxing and spans a series of riverfront plots. The project is situated outside the old city, bordered by two canals on either side, making it a central hub for Shaoxing’s key areas.
On the eastern side of the project, a municipal and business district for the new city is planned, facing a “Water Plaza.” The landmark building of the “Water Plaza” is the tallest mixed-use tower in the project, featuring a star-rated hotel and office spaces. The western side of the project is designated as a shopping and commercial district, including a lifestyle center, retail plaza, shopping mall, and SOHO apartments. The eastern and western districts are aligned along a central tree-lined boulevard. High-rise apartment buildings and townhouses are arranged to the north and south of the boulevard. As Shaoxing is renowned for its water features, the master plan efficiently integrates natural resources, with water systems interwoven throughout the entire development.
