A Warehouse Becomes a Center for Innovation

Named “Hatch,” this facility provides a collaborative environment for the entire corporation to use for developing everything from new restaurant features to new ways of innovation for everyday corporate policies. Hatch houses the change process and contains multiple areas dedicated to creating new ideas and design.

Promoting free thinking, hands-on work, and a bold style, the design concept is meant to appear somewhat unfinished, to encourage getting messy and taking risks. This is achieved through raw and rustic materials, such as exposed concrete floors, reclaimed wood, tin, acrylic, and exposed studs and ceilings, all of which promote environmentally friendly ideas. Space is meant to be imperfect and informal. The design intent provides the utmost flexibility, with mobile furniture and fixtures to promote constant change and creative energy. Areas throughout encourage impromptu brainstorming sessions.
